by In 2019, electric car sales in Ukraine set a new record. According to the association “Ukrautoprom”, 7542 electric cars were registered – 7012 passenger and 530 commercial. 
Compared to 2018, the market grew by a third. However, most electric cars (92% passenger and 96% commercial) were used and 4-6 years old. Wealthy Ukrainians, though, bought 145 new Jaguar I-Pace.
The most popular electric vehicles in Ukraine for 2019 were named:
1 Nissan Leaf – 3217 cars
2 Tesla Model S – 623
3 Volkswagen e-Golf – 360
4 BMW i3 – 338
5 Fiat 500e – 312
In the commercial segment, the Renault Kangoo Z.E. (482 units), Nissan e-NV200 (29), and Peugeot Partner Electric (7) were in demand.
