In South Korea, the Kia Optima 2020 was presented. For now, the Kia sedan is only available at home (where it is called the K5), and in the rest of the world, it will appear in the first half of next year.
Photos of the Kia Optima 2020 were published earlier and the design of the model is no longer a secret. The car’s roof has become more sloping, and the curved LED headlights draw attention.
It is known that the new Kia Optima has grown to 4905 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2850 mm.
The width remained the same (1860 mm), but the height was reduced to 1445 mm.
Inside, there is a digital instrument panel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and touch climate control buttons. Among the options are a parking autopilot with remote control and a smartphone access system to the cabin.
Initially, a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine will be offered (producing 160 hp on gasoline and 146 hp with LPG), as well as a 1.6-liter 180 hp turbo engine and a 195 hp hybrid version with a solar panel on the roof. Prices in Korea start at $17,800.
