by In the USA, the new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2020 was presented. The new Mercedes crossover has already been dubbed the mini G-Class. The newcomer will go on sale this autumn, positioned between the GLA and GLC models. 
Design of Mercedes-Benz GLB 2020
The new Mercedes-Benz GLB features a restrained design with small roof pillar angles, a high bonnet, and extended rear fenders. The crossover’s optics are fully LED.
The car is not so small – 4634 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2829 mm. Moreover, unlike the “real” G-Class, it can be seven-seater.
Interior and Equipment of Mercedes-Benz GLB 2020
The GLB interior is designed in the traditional style of modern Mercedes-Benz – with a virtual cockpit and touchscreen grouped into one unit. In the spirit of its older siblings, the automatic transmission selector is mounted on the steering column. The second-row seats have horizontal adjustment and the backrest angle can be changed.
The trunk volume in the seven-seat version is 179L, in the five-seater – 560L, and with the rear seats folded – 1755L. 
All Mercedes-Benz GLB 2020 are equipped with a rear-view camera and automatic braking system. Options include a parking autopilot, a head-up display, and a semi-autonomous driving system.
Specifications of Mercedes-Benz GLB 2020
The seven-seat Mercedes crossover was presented with a 2.0-liter 224-horsepower turbo engine. It accelerates to 100 km/h in about 7 seconds.
The range will later be expanded with a 1.33-liter 163-horsepower turbo-four and 2-liter turbo diesels with 150 and 190 hp. 
All versions received an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive with a special off-road mode. Adaptive dampers are offered for an additional fee.
