Tuning a VAZ with an engine swap is not uncommon. Mostly, different four-cylinder engines are installed under the hood, but sometimes larger units manage to be fitted.
This VAZ ‘Kopeika’ is equipped with a 5.4-liter BMW V12 producing 350 horsepower. Somehow, it was managed to fit into the engine bay. Paired with the engine is a BMW Steptronic automatic transmission (with manual and sport modes).
A BMW 7 Series became the donor for the rear axle as well. The car also has a replaced exhaust system, and a roll cage has been added in the cabin.
At first glance, it’s an inconspicuous VAZ-2101. Barely noticeable are the removed bumpers, added spoiler, and tinted lights. The VAZ with a V12 is offered for purchase at $6,000.
