The BMW X3 crossover and its coupe-like variant, the X4, have finally received powerful M versions. Their premiere will take place at the Geneva Motor Show, and for now, official photos of the model are presented.
The new BMW X3 M and X4 M have received an entirely new three-liter turbo-six. In the standard version, it develops 480 hp, while in the Competition version – 510 hp. The torque is the same in both cases – 600 Nm.
With the 8-speed automatic transmission, the powerful BMW crossovers accelerate to a hundred in 4.2 seconds and reach 280 km/h. With the Competition package, these figures are 4.1 seconds and 285 km/h, respectively.
The all-wheel drive is complemented by an active differential. The suspension features new arms and stabilizers, and adaptive shock absorbers are mandatory. The body rigidity is increased by strut bars, and the brake discs are increased to 390 mm at the front and 370 mm at the rear.
The new BMW X3 M and X4 M can be recognized by the black grille, enlarged front air intakes, body kit, and four exhaust pipes. The standard version has 20-inch wheels, while the Competition version has 21-inch wheels.
The interior features new sports seats, as well as a new steering wheel and gear lever. The digital dashboard has also been updated. The leather interior is combined with aluminum and carbon inserts.
