The Mercedes-Benz GLE has grown a bit in size, and its wheelbase has increased by 80 mm (to 2995 mm). Interestingly, the crossover has a relatively low drag coefficient (0.29). 
The design of the Mercedes GLE 2019 is in the spirit of its smaller sibling GLC, meaning the body lines have become more streamlined.
The headlights are LED as standard. The Mercedes crossover appears more expressive with the AMG package, which includes a body kit and a special grille.
Interior and options of Mercedes-Benz GLE 2019
As with all the latest Mercedes cars, two 12.3-inch displays are installed side by side in the cabin – a virtual dashboard and a multimedia touchscreen. The second row has gained 69 mm more legroom and 33 mm more headroom. An electric drive for the rear seats is offered for an additional charge.
Additionally, a third row of seats can be ordered, and the trunk volume is increased to 825 liters. 
The new Mercedes-Benz GLE can be equipped with a semi-autonomous driving system and an air suspension with E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL technology, allowing for individual wheel adjustment and cornering like a motorcycle.
Specifications of Mercedes-Benz GLE 2019
Initially, the new Mercedes GLE will only be available with a 3.0-liter turbo six engine producing 367 horsepower. The engine is supplemented with a mild hybrid system providing an additional 22 horsepower and 250 Nm. Thanks to this, the average fuel consumption is reduced to 9.6 liters/100 km.
Later, 3.0-liter turbo diesel engines with 286 and 340 horsepower will also appear. All modifications are equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a new all-wheel-drive system. An off-road package with a low-range gearbox and central differential lock is offered for an additional fee.
