Could this wrecked Porsche 911 belong to a famous YouTuber?

Damaged Porsche 911 Turbo S may have belonged to a famous YouTuber

This Porsche 911 Turbo S suffered serious damage, and now its fate depends on the buyer at the auction. The peculiarity of this case is that the car likely belonged to Marques Brownlee—a well-known tech reviewer who is also passionate about powerful cars. He purchased a similar Porsche about a year ago but has not reported the accident himself.

Evidence of a connection to MKBHD

In January 2024, Brownlee showed his followers his new Porsche, including details about custom features like the special stripes on the hood. The damaged car at the auction displays these same elements, which may indicate it was his former vehicle. Additionally, the color, interior upholstery, and even part of the VIN code match.

“These two stripes on the hood are what really set my black Turbo S apart from others. It was a small custom detail I worked on with APC.”

It is currently unknown whether this car will be restored, but it could become an interesting project for enthusiasts. The Carscoops editorial team attempted to get a comment from Brownlee, but no response was received at the time of publication.

If this really was MKBHD’s former Porsche, its story could take an unexpected turn—for example, becoming part of a new YouTube video. At the same time, there remains a possibility that someone simply copied the blogger’s style, and this accident has no connection to him.
