BMW is preparing a new concept car
BMW is hinting at a new mysterious concept car, which, judging by the fragmentary images, could be a “shooting brake” version based on last year’s Skytop prototype. The manufacturer has published several shadowy photos on social media to generate interest in the novelty.
The images show the rear of the car with a distinctive roofline and narrow LED taillights. The design of the fenders and door handles resembles the Skytop, but the overall body shape aligns more with a shooting brake. The company describes the model as
“a unique combination of design, elegance, and craftsmanship”
.
Premiere and potential prospects
The official debut of the concept is scheduled for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025 exhibition, which will take place on May 24-26 near Lake Como. If last year’s Skytop quickly turned into a limited-series production model, this project could also receive the “green light” for production.
The previous concept based on the BMW 8-Series was equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine producing 617 hp, so the new version will likely inherit powerful technical specifications. The price, if the model goes into production, will be quite high, emphasizing its exclusivity.
For now, there is little information, but it is already clear that BMW is preparing something unusual. The manufacturer’s concepts often serve as the basis for limited series, so car enthusiasts should keep an eye on the events at the exhibition in Italy. Perhaps this shooting brake will become the next collectible item in the brand’s lineup.
