Updates for the GMC Hummer EV in 2026

GMC has introduced an updated version of the Hummer EV for the 2026 model year. Among the key changes is the new Carbon Fiber Edition, which offers even greater power and an exclusive design. This version accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, making it the fastest Hummer model in history.

In addition to the special edition, updates have been made to technology and functionality. A new King Crab mode has been introduced, improving off-road maneuverability in tight spaces. The multimedia system and the Super Cruise driver assistance system have also been updated.

Details of the Carbon Fiber Edition

This version features 22-inch carbon fiber wheels, an exclusive matte Magnus Gray color, and an interior themed in Velocity Ember. The battery power has increased to 1,160 hp, enabling record-breaking acceleration.

According to GMC representatives, the performance boost was made possible through updated software and hardware optimization.

Additionally, in 2026, the Hummer EV will receive new exterior and interior colors, and all models will now support bidirectional charging, allowing the vehicle to be used as a power source for other devices.

Production of the updated models will begin at the GM plant in Michigan, with deliveries to dealers expected by the end of 2025. More details about pricing and range will be announced by GMC closer to the sales launch.

The updates to the Hummer EV demonstrate that even the most powerful electric vehicles continue to improve. The King Crab mode is particularly interesting, as it could make this massive off-roader even more adaptable to extreme conditions. Combined with increased performance and new technologies, the Hummer EV remains one of the most ambitious electric vehicles on the market.
