At an exhibition in California’s Monterey, Toyota Motor unveiled the new experimental Lexus Sport Concept coupe. It is intended to become the successor to the legendary LFA and take on the AMG GT R.

The car looks as if the designer decided to simultaneously showcase strength, dynamism, and a bit of madness: a low body, rounded fenders, and a multitude of ventilation holes all over the front end. The headlights are scattered in separate blocks, but the daytime running lights in the shape of the letter L remind you—this is still a Lexus. The splitter under the front end seems to push the car towards the road, and there is almost no traditional radiator grille—why bother when the car already looks aggressive?

A spoiler on a servo drive is installed on the trunk, which in its calm state simply continues the roofline. The doors are made compact, so getting inside will require a slight crouch—just as befits the ‘fat cats’ who need to keep in shape in Monaco.

The cabin is positioned exactly in the center, and the engine is likely located behind the seats—for those who love to feel the car’s heart beating right under their back… or under their bottom.

Technical details are still hidden, but the concept already looks ready to heat up the competition among the fastest and hottest coupes on the market.
