New Range Rover Logo
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has introduced an updated logo for the Range Rover brand. It consists of two intertwined “R” letters with a gold coating. However, this emblem will not replace the classic Range Rover script or the oval Land Rover logo. According to the manufacturer, the new badge is intended for limited spaces, such as labels or design elements.
The logo first appeared during a presentation for investors and was then shown at the Milan Design Week. In the gold version, it looks elegant, but in black, it loses some of its charm. Along with it, a so-called “RR-pattern” was introduced – a pattern of intertwined “R” letters, which will likely be used in the design of radiator grilles and interiors.
This symbol is designed for places where the standard Range Rover logo is not suitable, for example, on labels or in patterns
Part of the Brand Strategy
The logo update is part of JLR’s overall strategy, which involves separating the Jaguar, Discovery, Defender, and Range Rover brands into distinct sub-brands. So far, only Discovery and Defender have not received new logos. It is not yet known which Range Rover model will be the first to receive the new emblem, but it can be assumed that it will be the electric version with 542 horsepower.
These changes show how automakers are gradually updating their identity while maintaining recognizability. Range Rover remains a symbol of luxury, but now with a more modern visual accent. The RR-pattern looks particularly interesting and could become the brand’s new signature in the design of future models.
