A video has spread online showing two BMWs aggressively weaving between other cars in New York. It all ended with the cars colliding – and it happened right in front of a police car.
This style of driving was once a fairly common phenomenon. Over a year ago, an account called “Slow Benz” gained notoriety by posting videos of traffic violations. In May 2024, the police arrested the 19-year-old administrator of this account. After being temporarily released, he was detained again – this time for robbery.
Incident Details
The video shows two BMW M3s dangerously jumping between lanes. One car sharply changes its trajectory, the other fails to brake in time – a collision occurs. One car crashed into a guardrail, the other appears to have fled the scene. The police won’t even have to look far for the culprits – an officer witnessed the accident with his own eyes.
After checking, it turned out that this video was published by the Slow Benz account eight months ago under the title “SQUEEZE TEAM TRYOUT GONE WRONG”.
Such incidents will continue until law enforcement starts responding more harshly to such cases. Other states already have examples of successfully combating dangerous driving. For instance, in California, one such “racer” was tracked by a helicopter and convicted for disregarding safety rules. The local police hope to be able to prevent similar incidents before they lead to serious consequences.
This story is a reminder that dangerous driving is not just “jokes,” but a real threat to all road users. The New York Police will probably pay more attention to similar cases after such an obvious demonstration.
