New Ram Truck Impresses with Style and Remains Affordable

New Ram 2500 Models: Black Express and Warlock

Ram has introduced two new versions of the 2500 pickup — the Black Express and the Warlock. Both models are based on the Tradesman but have unique characteristics. The Black Express features a stylish design with body-colored accents, tubular side steps, and black 20-inch wheels. The Warlock, on the other hand, is oriented towards off-road driving: it is equipped with all-wheel drive, 34-inch tires, and additional off-road elements.

The Ram 2500 lineup was updated at the beginning of the year, receiving a new 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel engine with 430 horsepower and 1,456 Nm of torque. Now, two new modifications have been added to it. The Black Express is offered in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive variants, as well as with a short or long bed. Its base price is $53,735. The Warlock costs $57,165 and includes standard all-wheel drive, increased ground clearance, and additional underbody protection for off-road driving.

Technical Features

Both models can be equipped with either the diesel engine or the gasoline 6.4-liter Hemi V8 (405 hp, 581 Nm of torque). Both units work in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Orders for the new models are already being accepted, and deliveries will begin in the third quarter.

“Everyone likes nice pickups, but the main challenge is to make them affordable without losing quality,” noted Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis.

The new versions of the Ram 2500 demonstrate how the brand balances affordability and premium features. The Black Express is aimed at those who value style, while the Warlock will be the choice for extreme driving enthusiasts. Both models retain the key advantages of the lineup — power, reliability, and customization options.
