He bought his dream Alfa Romeo but hasn’t been able to drive it for months

Buying a dream car turned into waiting

One of the buyers of a new Alfa Romeo Tonale still has not received his car two months after the purchase. The reason is a recall of over 8 thousand vehicles of this model due to problems with the rearview camera. The buyer’s car has been sitting in the dealer’s parking lot since the end of April.

As reported, the man signed the purchase documents on April 26, but found out about the recall just a few days later. The dealer confirmed that they cannot hand over a car with an open service campaign. Additional services ordered by the buyer were also not performed.

“I would call them every day and make their life hell,” advised one of the users.

How to avoid similar situations

This story is a reminder of the importance of checking a car before purchase. This is especially true for models with open service campaigns. Buyers should find out the timelines for fixing the problems and the availability of spare parts.

For now, the client has received a temporary car to use and has contacted the company’s management. The situation shows how important it is to be persistent in such cases. At the same time, the manufacturer has not yet offered a final solution to fix the technical malfunction.

This case occurred against the backdrop of a general increase in the number of recalls in the automotive industry. Many manufacturers are facing quality problems with components, which affects the delivery times of new cars to customers. This is especially true for electronic systems, which are becoming increasingly complex in modern cars.
