Scammer Who Traded Karma Allegedly Sold Rare Cars for Millions Twice and Disappeared

Car dealer in Florida suspected of fraud worth hundreds of thousands of dollars

In Jacksonville, Florida, a criminal case has been initiated against the owner of the Bul Auto Sales dealership. Over 15 months of operation, the establishment managed to receive numerous complaints and then suddenly closed without explanation. Vladimir Rangelov is accused of fraud and document forgery.

As reported by law enforcement, the scheme was quite simple: the same car was sold to multiple buyers. For example, two men paid $250,000 each for one Corvette Z06, but only one of them received the car. The other was left both without money and without a car.

Affected clients were left without money and cars

One of the clients, a 62-year-old man, purchased a McLaren 720S for $260,000, but three months later it turned out that the car was never registered in his name. Later, he was offered to exchange the McLaren for a Rolls-Royce for $300,000 – in the end, he lost $560,000.

Another story involves a 1994 Porsche 911. The owner gave it to the dealership for sale, was informed about a deal for $155,000, but the police found no evidence that the car was actually sold.

The dealership suddenly ceased operations, leaving behind a number of unpaid loans and unprocessed deals. Representatives of Karma Automotive confirmed that they had suspended cooperation with Bul Auto Sales pending the investigation. Some victims express concerns that Rangelov may have already left the country.

This story is a reminder of the importance of caution when buying expensive cars, especially through small dealerships. Even official dealers can sometimes turn out to be dishonest, so it is always worth checking the vehicle’s history and the legal status of the transaction.
