Ford Bronco Recalled Again — This is the Second Case in Two Days

Ford Recalls Thousands of Broncos Due to Airbag Problem

Ford Motor Company has announced a recall of 2,272 Bronco vehicles from the 2025 model year due to a potential malfunction of the passenger airbag. According to the report, the airbag’s active ventilation valve may not open during a crash, which increases the risk of injury.

The problem was discovered during routine tests by the airbag supplier, Joyson Safety Systems. The investigation showed that the plastic flange holding the micro-gas generator could break during airbag deployment and block the ventilation valve.

If this happens, the internal pressure of the airbag will not decrease as quickly as designed, leading to a harsher interaction between the airbag and the passenger

How the Problem is Being Solved

Ford reports that it has not yet received any complaints from customers or dealers regarding this malfunction. However, it is believed that approximately 28% of the recalled vehicles may have this defect.

Owners will receive recall notifications on July 28. Dealerships will replace the passenger airbag module with a new one free of charge, where the plastic flanges meet technical requirements. This should resolve the issue with the ventilation valve.

This is not Ford’s first recall this year, but fortunately, the manufacturer detected the problem early enough to prevent potential incidents on the road. The company traditionally covers all repair costs under warranty service.
