Tesla Model S and Model X Updates
Despite the fact that the Model S and Model X account for less than 5% of Tesla’s sales, the company continues to update them. The changes are not as global as those in the Model 3 or Model Y, but they will be pleasant for fans of premium electric vehicles.
Externally, the Model S and Model X have received new front bumpers that give them a more aggressive look. The design of the Model S, despite its 13-year history, still looks modern, while the Model X remains a massive crossover. New wheel designs have also appeared: for the Model X – 20- and 22-inch, and for the Model S – 19- and 21-inch.
Technical Improvements
In addition to external changes, Tesla introduced a new paint shade – Frost Blue, which costs an additional $2500. Under the hood, there are also updates: new suspension bushings, an updated suspension, and an improved active noise cancellation system for a more comfortable ride.
According to Tesla, changes to the Model S Plaid improve stability at high speeds.
The updates concern not only the technical part but also functionality: a new camera has been installed in the front bumper, and the headlights have received adaptive functions. At the same time, the Model X remains the same massive crossover that does not lose its popularity among buyers.
These updates show that Tesla continues to improve its models, even if they are not the main drivers of sales. The company is betting on gradual improvements that make their cars even more attractive to the premium segment.
