Ferrari to unveil the ‘heart’ of its first electric vehicle in October, with the model to be released in 2026

It was initially expected that Ferrari would present its first electric car in October. However, the company announced that only its ‘technological heart’ will be shown at that time, and the full-fledged car will debut only in the spring of next year.

This information was confirmed during the publication of the financial report for the first quarter. CEO Benedetto Vigna did not disclose details about the ‘technological heart’ of the Elettrica, but it is likely to be the electric drive of the new model.

It is currently unknown how many electric motors the new model will have and what its battery pack will be like. It is only known that all key components – batteries, inverters, and motors – are developed and will be manufactured in Maranello. Ferrari could have used ready-made solutions from other manufacturers but decided to create its own.

In addition to announcing the October presentation of the technologies and the spring debut of the car, Vigna confirmed that the first deliveries to customers will begin in October 2026.

In recent months, test prototypes of the Ferrari electric car have been repeatedly spotted on the roads. They had elements from various existing models, so it is difficult to say how much the production version will resemble them. The new model is expected to have a non-traditional design for a sports car, closer to the Purosangue but in a smaller execution.

According to the quarterly report, Ferrari sold 3,593 cars in the first quarter, which is 33 units more than in the same period of 2024. Revenue increased by 13% to 1.79 billion euros, and net profit grew by 17% to 412 million euros.
