Charging an electric vehicle is usually a calm process, but for this Cybertruck owner, it was interrupted unexpectedly. A Dodge Charger driver nearby lost control of his car and crashed into his pickup. Another Tesla owner managed to capture the entire incident on camera.
The event occurred at the Destiny USA mall in Syracuse, New York. An eyewitness said the Dodge drivers almost hit him: “I was walking when these [expletive] almost hit me. Hearing the engine roar, I immediately knew they were up to something stupid and started recording,” he wrote on Reddit.
His premonition was justified. Despite a large empty area, the Charger R/T driver began to drift very close to the Teslas that were charging. At first, he maintained control, but then the situation got out of hand.
First, the car drove over a curb island at the parking lot entrance. Surprisingly, the driver only started to brake after that. The video shows the car continued moving and crashed into the next curb island. The impact was so strong that the front of the Charger lifted into the air. After landing, the car continued to roll until it hit the side of the Cybertruck.

The footage clearly shows that the Dodge sustained serious damage. Smoke was coming from under the hood, not from the tires as during the drift. The underbody protection was torn off, and debris was scattered all over the area. At the same time, the Cybertruck looked as if nothing had happened, despite the impact.
As reported in the Reddit post, after the accident, engine oil and transmission fluid were leaking from the Dodge. The Cybertruck owner inspected his vehicle and found no damage. “The pickup looked absolutely intact!” the user added. It seems the Charger driver got more trouble than he expected.
