The Most Accessible Hyundai Crossover Lost Its LED Headlights and Navigation System

Popularity and Changes

The Hyundai Venue remains unnoticed by many; however, its sales by the end of the third quarter grew by an impressive 20%. Although this is only 23,728 units, for the 2026 model year, the vehicle received a number of updates.

Discontinuation of the Top Trim

One of the most significant changes was the discontinuation of the highest Limited trim, which started at $23,450. It featured a more premium exterior with LED lighting, heated mirrors, and an optional contrasting black or white roof.

Limited owners also received a more refined interior with heated front seats and a wireless smartphone charger. Furthermore, this model had an 8-inch multimedia system with GPS navigation.

New Opportunities for SEL

With the discontinuation of the Limited trim for 2026, buyers will have to choose the Venue SEL trim. However, it’s not just about losses: this version inherited a number of features from the previous top model.

These include heated mirrors and the optional contrasting roof, which lowers the price by $225 as it excludes the sunroof. Heated front seats and a wireless smartphone charger have also been added.

Price Updates

Due to the additional equipment, the price increased from $22,200 to a minimum of $22,600. The $400 increase seems insignificant compared to the received updates.

The base Venue SE trim remains in the lineup, starting at $20,550. This is $350 more expensive than last year’s model, and the delivery fee increased from $1,495 to $1,600 for all variants.

Technical Features

As before, the 2026 Venue is equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 121 hp and 113 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an intelligent continuously variable transmission that sends power only to the front wheels.

This is not the most dynamic combination, but the Venue is focused on practicality and comes with 15-inch alloy wheels, rear drum brakes (for SE), and a torsion beam rear suspension. The interior remains quite simple with analog instruments and manual climate control.

Safety Systems

The model has a number of driver assistance systems, including Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist, and a Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system with pedestrian detection. Cruise control and a Rear Occupant Alert system are also present, while the SEL trim adds Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning.

2026 Hyundai Venue Prices

Trim Price
Venue SE $20,550
Venue SEL (contrasting roof) $22,600
Venue SEL $22,825

Prices do not include the $1,600 delivery fee.

The price increase for the Venue comes amid intensifying competition in the compact crossover segment, where buyers increasingly value fuel efficiency and standard safety features. Hyundai seems to be betting that improved standard equipment will compensate for the lack of a top-tier version, keeping the model accessible to a wide range of consumers.
