Dodge Charger Concept for SEMA Show
Dodge and Mopar have announced a Charger concept that will be presented at the SEMA Show. It is likely based on the Charger Scat Pack model, equipped with an inline six-cylinder engine. The most powerful version of this engine develops 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque.
Stellantis Participation Update
Stellantis traditionally takes an active part in the SEMA Show, and this year the company plans to present a number of customized cars. Although details remain limited, the manufacturer has released images of a purple Dodge Charger concept, which, judging by the design, has an internal combustion engine with a centrally located intake.
Technical Specifications and Options
The base Charger R/T model starts at $49,995 and is equipped with a two-liter turbocharged Hurricane I6 engine that produces 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque. The top speed of this version is 168 mph.
The Charger Scat Pack, priced at $54,995, gets an upgraded engine with 550 hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and cover the quarter mile in 12.2 seconds. The top speed of this model reaches 177 mph.
Transmission and Features
Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive system can be disabled for a rear-wheel drive configuration, providing the ability to drift and enhanced dynamics.
Market Launch Timeline
The Charger Scat Pack is scheduled to appear at dealerships by the end of this year, while the R/T model will become available in mid-2026.
Prospects and Context
Stellantis’ participation in the SEMA Show underscores the brand’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the high-performance car market. The Charger concept will likely become a test platform for new technologies and design solutions that could influence future production models. The increase in power and dynamics in the new Charger versions indicates competition with other manufacturers in the sports sedan segment, where technical innovation and emotional appeal play a key role.
