Ford has unveiled a special version of the F-150 Raptor R pickup at the SEMA show, which impresses with its power and modifications. This vehicle is equipped with a supercharger kit that allows its engine to produce over 900 horsepower, as well as new wheels, an exhaust system, and carbon fiber parts.
Technical Updates
Under the hood of the 5.2-liter V8 engine, a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger kit is installed, increasing power to over 900 hp. This is a significant improvement over the standard model, which was already more powerful than its competitor, the Ram 1500 TRX with its 720 hp.
Ford noted that the supercharger kit is designed for CARB certification and compliance with the requirements of all states, and it also comes with a Ford Performance Parts warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles when installed by a dealer or certified technician.
This indicates that the company is studying market demand and considering this kit as a potential option for enthusiasts, providing additional power without harming the vehicle’s reliability.
Ford’s Executive Director of Accessories and Personalization said: “We wanted to create a blueprint for the ultimate Raptor pickup with factory backing, combining massive power with the toughness its name implies.”
Additional Improvements
Although the supercharger kit is the main focus, the pickup has also received a number of other updates. These include a contrasting black hood, side graphics, and carbon fiber elements. Additionally, black Method wheels have been installed, a Borla exhaust system with black chrome tips, and auxiliary lights from Rigid.
This version of the F-150 Raptor R demonstrates how manufacturers can combine extreme performance with factory technologies, offering drivers the possibility of personalization without losing warranty coverage. Such projects often become the basis for future production models or additional packages, expanding the market for high-performance off-road vehicles.
