Expansion of the Jeep Anniversary Model Lineup
Unlike Chrysler, which limited itself to a sticker for its centennial anniversary, Jeep is throwing a real celebration for the brand’s 85th anniversary. Back in January, the company introduced special editions of the Gladiator and Wrangler off-roaders, and now the anniversary collection is expanding significantly.
It will include models such as the Compass, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Grand Wagoneer. This is especially symbolic for the Compass, as the second generation of this model is exactly ten years old.
Features of the First Anniversary Off-Roaders
The first special editions, based on the Sport S trim, have already received a number of unique elements. Among them:
New Models and Their Differences
For the new participants in the anniversary lineup—the updated Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Grand Wagoneer—their own changes have been prepared. The automaker reveals few details, but it is known that they will receive:
- Steel Oxide-colored wheels.
- Agave Blue-colored graphics.
- A number of interior changes, including contrasting Mayan Gold stitching.
- Special seat tags executed in Blue Agave and Mayan Gold colors.
Unfortunately, the houndstooth seats, which the first anniversary models were proud of, will not appear in this case.

Expected Technical Specifications
While Jeep has not yet revealed all the technical details of the new models, reasonable assumptions can be made. For example, the Cherokee 85th Anniversary Edition will most likely receive a hybrid powertrain based on a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. Its total output could be 210 hp (157 kW) and 230 lb-ft (312 Nm) of torque.
For the flagship Grand Wagoneer, a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 420 hp (313 kW) and 468 lb-ft (635 Nm) of torque is expected.
We have listened to our customers for 85 years, and that feedback has driven Jeep since the 1941 Willys—the vehicle that set the standard for every Jeep that followed.
This opinion was expressed by the company’s CEO, Bob Broderdorf.

Jeep anniversary editions traditionally generate interest not only among brand enthusiasts but also among collectors. They combine modern technology with elements that honor the brand’s rich history. This expansion of the lineup to crossovers and off-roaders of different classes indicates the company’s desire to reach as wide a range of buyers as possible, offering them a limited series with unique design. At the same time, as always, the main emphasis remains on the connection with the brand’s heritage, which was born for the military but conquered the civilian world.
