First Look at the Updated 2027 Nissan Rogue
Here are the first images of the all-new 2027 Nissan Rogue model year. This car will become an important part of the company’s new era and will hit the market with the latest e-Power hybrid system. The new model will appear in the USA and Canada later this year.
Although many key details of the new Rogue remain a secret, it clearly differs from the previous model thanks to a radically new design that makes its appearance sharper and more aggressive. Whether buyers will like it as much as the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Tucson remains to be seen, but it certainly makes a statement.
Aggressive Design and Technology
The front end includes a set of sharp daytime running lights, neatly integrated into the darkened grille, which itself dominates a significant portion of the SUV’s front end. Below are sharp triangular air intakes and a darkened area in the center of the bumper.
For those who consider the new RAV4 bold, the 2027 Rogue takes things to another level.

The side photo shows pronounced lines and surfaces running along the doors, in a design somewhat similar to the Hyundai Tucson. As for the rear, it features a stylish glossy black bumper, complex LED rear lights, and a full-width light bar.
e-Power Hybrid System
More important than the Rogue’s fresh design is the fact that it will mark the American debut of Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system. This system consists of an internal combustion engine that functions exclusively as a generator, combined with an e-Power unit that integrates an electric motor, inverter, electric generator, reduction gear, and booster. Unlike some other hybrids, Nissan’s e-Power system drives the wheels exclusively via the electric motor, not the engine.
Nissan has not provided specifications for the e-Power system that will be installed in the new Rogue, but it will likely be the same as in the X-Trail on foreign markets, which includes a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine.
The new Rogue is expected to bring e-Power technology to the USA for the first time. Its aggressive new design will help the SUV compete with the RAV4, Tucson, and CR-V. More details about the new Rogue will be announced as its launch approaches.
The arrival of the Rogue with the e-Power system could significantly change the balance of power in the compact SUV segment, which is increasingly focused on efficiency and environmental friendliness. The success of this model will depend not only on design but also on how convincingly Nissan can present the advantages of its hybrid technology to the American consumer, who is familiar with other approaches. This could also pave the way for the introduction of e-Power on other brand models in North America, intensifying the competitive battle with the traditional leaders of the segment.
