The model is based on the C124 300 CE coupe and was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989. The body underwent a deep redesign: the front section was changed, the roof and rear overhang were shortened by 25 cm, forming a lower silhouette.

The main feature is the electro-hydraulic gullwing doors, which hark back to the classic 300 SL. Only about 11 cars were built, but only one received such doors.

The car’s mileage is about 39,000 km. After its debut in Germany, the car belonged for a long time to engineer Tino Zovko, who preserved the original documentation from the project author, Hartmut Boschert.

Subsequently, the car changed owners and entered a private collection. Due to the uniqueness of the design and limited production run, the model is considered one of the rarest projects based on the E-Class from the late 1980s.
