Chery has created a sedan that combines the front end of an RS6, the profile of an A5, and the rear end of an A7

New Chery Arrizo S Sedan: Audi Inspiration and Chinese Chic

At the Beijing Auto Show, Chery presented the Arrizo S concept — a mass-market sedan that frankly copies Audi’s style: from the radiator grille to almost all body panels. The production version is expected to be released by the end of the year and will take a place in the brand’s Chinese sedan lineup above the Arrizo 5 and Arrizo 8.

Design: An Audi Copy in Detail

The Arrizo S is a four-door fastback sedan whose style is borrowed from various Audi models. Angular headlights, a hexagonal grille, and aggressive lower air intakes recall the RS6 and RS7. The side profile resembles the recently presented A5, while the thin full-width rear light bar imitates the A7.

Chery tried to add sportiness with 19-inch alloy wheels, four exhaust pipes, and an integrated spoiler. However, the Arrizo S looks more comfort-oriented than focused on true performance.

Technical Specifications and Interior

According to Chinese media, the production version will receive a non-hybrid turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 257 hp (192 kW / 261 hp). The power will likely be sent to the front axle via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, the imitation of Audi ends at the dashboard. The Arrizo S has a layout typical for modern Chinese sedans: a digital instrument cluster is combined with a large central infotainment display. In front of the driver is a two-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls, while the center console retains a few physical buttons and a rotary switch.

Brown upholstery is combined with purple ambient lighting, wood trim, and metal grilles for the audio system speakers. ADAS sensors integrated into the body hint that the production model could feature the Falcon Intelligent Driving system — a set of AI-based driver assistance features.

Expectations and Positioning

The new model will likely go on sale at the end of 2026. Given its larger dimensions and premium appearance, it will cost more than the Arrizo 8, whose price in China currently ranges from ¥99,900 to ¥148,900 ($14,600–$21,800).

Chery continues to actively expand its lineup, and the Arrizo S will be another step in the fight for a place in the mid-size sedan market. Although the design is clearly inspired by German models, the Chinese manufacturer is betting on modern technology, comfort, and a more affordable price. This will allow it to compete not only with local brands but also with global players that still dominate this segment. The introduction of the Falcon Intelligent Driving system could be a key advantage, as demand for smart driving assistants is growing, especially among younger audiences. Thus, the Arrizo S looks like an attempt to combine a premium appearance with practicality, which could attract buyers looking for an alternative to more expensive European models.
