Audi e-tron: live photos and all the details of Audi’s first electric car

The official presentation of the Audi e-tron crossover took place in San Francisco. Audi’s first electric car will go on sale in January 2019 at a price starting from $74,800.

 

Design of Audi e-tron 2019

The Audi electric car reaches 4902 mm in length, 1938 mm in width, and 1663 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2923 mm. Its appearance is similar to the Audi Q8. The car features a faceted design with a wide radiator grille and narrow LED headlights.

The cabin layout is familiar from the flagship Audi A8 2018, which also provided the four-spoke steering wheel. The Audi electric car received a virtual instrument panel and two touchscreens. For an additional fee, rearview mirrors can be replaced with cameras.

For its size, the five-seater crossover is quite spacious, with a trunk volume of 660 liters in the normal state and 1615 liters with the rear seats folded down.

The top version is equipped with 21-inch wheels, a leather interior, power seats with memory, 360-degree cameras, a parking autopilot, and a semi-autonomous driving system.

 

Specifications of Audi e-tron 2019

The new Audi e-tron is equipped with two electric motors that develop a total of 355 hp and have a torque of 560 Nm. In sport mode, these figures are 402 hp and 660 Nm, respectively. Acceleration to one hundred takes 5.5 seconds, and the top speed is 200 km/h.

The lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 95 kWh provides a range of 450 km. The Audi electric car can be charged to 80% in 30 minutes using a “fast” device.

Furthermore, the improved regenerative braking system allows recovery of up to 30% of the battery charge. The crossover also received air suspension with adjustable ground clearance.
