The Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading a draft of amendments to the Customs Code, providing concessions for owners of cars with European license plates. It was supported by 311 members of parliament out of the required 226. 
The bill is intended to reduce fines for non-customs cleared cars imported from August 22 to December 31, 2019. For violating the rules of temporary import and transit, the car will not be confiscated, and the fine will be 8500-17 thousand UAH. Let us recall, it was on August 22 that increased fines of up to 170 thousand UAH were enforced.
However, the Verkhovna Rada then postponed them again, but only in relation to cars imported before this date. Now the deputies have made concessions to those who imported cars with European license plates later.
