The introduction of the automatic photo and video recording system for traffic violations planned for May 1 has been postponed. The reason is the strict quarantine due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The latest postponement of implementing auto-recording was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs today. It is explained by the fact that the quarantine limits the operations of National Police units and several other organizations involved in the photo recording system. It is still unclear exactly when violators will start receiving “happiness letters,” but in any case, it will be after the end of the quarantine.
The installed cameras will obviously continue to operate in test mode.
