by Chery is preparing for the premiere of a new brutal off-roader under the iCar sub-brand, and now significantly more is known about it. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) has published data on the model, which has revealed its key parameters and design.
The iCar V27 is a large five-door SUV with strict square shapes that hark back to iconic off-roaders like the Land Rover and Toyota Land Cruiser 250. Its dimensions are impressive: length is 5055 mm, width is 1976 mm, height is 1894 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2910 mm.
Under the hood is a hybrid power plant based on a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine with a capacity of 143 hp, which works in tandem with two electric motors—one on each axle. The total output of the entire system is 455 hp, and the electric range reaches 200 km.
The iCar V27 is expected to become one of the brand’s key new products on the global market in 2026. By the way, it was recently announced that a new Chery pickup truck will soon appear in Ukraine. Its name is Chery Himla.
