In the USA, a souped-up tuned Chevrolet Sonic (as Aveo is known there) was unveiled. The compact hatchback has been turned into a real rallycross car.
The project was realized by the tuning atelier PMR Motorsports. They managed to fit a 6.2-liter V8 LS3 from the previous generation Corvette under the hood of the Chevrolet Aveo.
The Chevrolet engine produces 430 hp and 576 Nm, and the front-wheel-drive transmission is clearly unable to handle all this power.
Therefore, the 2018 Chevrolet Aveo received all-wheel drive. Of course, the suspension and brakes have been modified.
The Chevrolet rally sports car can be recognized by its widened wheel arches and enlarged front air intake. A safety cage frame appeared in the cabin.
