Jaguar is preparing to present a new electric four-door GT, which will debut by the end of this year. The car, developed based on the Type 00 concept, has received a more down-to-earth design compared to the prototype. It will be built on the new Jaguar Electrical Architecture platform and will be able to travel up to 430 miles on a single charge.
A camouflaged prototype was spotted during testing near the Nürburgring. Despite the masking elements, it is visible that the production version has retained the vertical front end, narrow headlights, and a sporty lower bumper. The changes concern the rear — it looks more organic than the concept’s, with sleek LED lines and a streamlined design.
Technical Features
The new Jaguar GT will feature flush door handles, a large charging port hatch, and a sporty silhouette. The manufacturer promises fast charging: in 15 minutes the battery will be replenished for 200 miles. This could become a serious advantage among competitors.
The model is expected to become part of the brand’s strategy aimed at competing with Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. After a long pause, Jaguar is betting on electrification to regain its position in the premium car market. Final technical details and design will be revealed after the official premiere.
