Power and Personalization from Senner Tuning
For owners who believe the factory BMW M2 CS has potential for further improvement, the German company Senner Tuning offers its alternative to the official BMW M Performance Track Kit. The main difference is that Senner’s engineers did not limit themselves to only external changes but significantly increased the engine’s power.
Exterior: A Sporty Focus on Carbon
The changes to the M2 CS’s exterior are noticeable but not overly aggressive. The front bumper received a subtle carbon fiber splitter, which adds definition to the contours. The rear of the car is now adorned with a larger fixed “ducktail” spoiler integrated into the carbon fiber trunk lid, sharpening the coupe’s silhouette.
The factory wheels have been replaced with forged Wheelforce R.2-FG wheels in light gold. The wheel sizes are impressive: 21×10 inches at the front, 21×11.5 inches at the rear. They are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires (275/25 front and 305/25 rear). To fully realize the potential of the new tires, the car has been equipped with adjustable KW V4 Clubsport coilovers.
The Heart of the Modification – Under the Hood
A true metamorphosis occurred with the engine. The standard 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine, borrowed from the M3 and M4 Competition, in the CS version produces 523 hp and 649 Nm of torque.
Senner developed a carbon fiber intake system and offers an ECU remap. In the maximum configuration, power increases to 710 hp, and torque to 865 Nm.
For comparison, the original Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, produced until 2016, developed 691 hp. This means the compact BMW now easily surpasses this figure while remaining rear-wheel drive.
Additional Options for Enthusiasts
For those seeking even more individuality and thrill, additional equipment is available. One can install HJS sport catalytic converters, as well as valved exhaust systems from brands like Akrapovic, Milltek, Eisenmann, and Grail. This allows owners to precisely tune both performance and exhaust sound to their preferences.
Senner Tuning’s approach demonstrates how deeply a ready-made sports car can be transformed. An increase in power of almost 200 horsepower, combined with lightweight carbon elements and serious suspension, turns the M2 CS from a compact coupe into a street and track monster. Such projects often become a benchmark for other tuning ateliers and show the real limits of factory platforms, especially when it comes to combining immense power with rear-wheel drive in a compact body.
