Practicality can be an adventure. At SEMA 2025 in Las Vegas, the Japanese presented the Corolla Cross Hybrid Nasu Edition – a hybrid that has turned into a true traveler.
The name Nasu is after a mountain in Japan, known for its hot springs and challenging trails. And also, the Japanese word “nasu” means “to achieve”… and “eggplant”. So it’s no surprise that the crossover’s body was covered in an impressive purple wrap.

Lifted suspension, Toyo Open Country A/T III tires, aggressive body kit, and additional LED lights transform the Corolla Cross into a true off-roader.
On the roof – a cargo box with the NASU logo and a mountain bike created in honor of world champion Asa Vermette.
Inside – new LED lighting, a JBL Bluetooth speaker, a refrigerator, and even a lockable drawer for gear.
And under the hood – the familiar 2.0-liter hybrid with 196 hp and all-wheel drive.

“We wanted to show that the Corolla Cross can be not only practical but also adventurous,” – Mike Tripp, Vice President of Toyota.
This is only the first of two dozen concepts that Toyota will present this year at SEMA. And it seems that Nasu is already ready for the Ukrainian mountain roads near the Tysa River…
