Dartz Motors, known for its ultra-exclusive SUVs, has delighted us with some interesting news. The Latvian manufacturer now has a new emblem, a Dartz drone has been introduced, and a new car model has been announced.
As part of an exclusive, TopGir personally spoke with the founder and owner of Dartz, Leonard Yankelovich (as is customary in 2020, online, of course), and he shared with us some interesting details and plans for the future.
Let’s start with the Dartz PromDrone Black Bee. It was developed in collaboration with Fixar, and it is the world’s first designer drone.
It was created by Alexander Isaev. You could say he founded a new market segment.
In its appearance, you can find features of World War I aircraft and Dartz cars. The flying apparatus combines vertical takeoff like a helicopter with the long-range flight of an airplane. In fact, aviation for Dartz is not a new endeavor.
The company traces its lineage back to the Russo-Baltic Wagon Factory (RBVZ). They produced not only wagons and Russo-Balt cars but also airplanes. It was at RBVZ that Kyiv native Igor Sikorsky began his career.
In fact, the new Dartz logo, which first appeared on the drone, is dedicated to Sikorsky. They took the famous photo of the designer in an aviator helmet as a basis.
But instead of his portrait, they placed a macabre skull – a symbol of eternity and fearlessness. A hundred years ago, the macabre adorned the hoods of armored cars and the tail fins of RBVZ airplanes. They placed the skull in a stylized bomber – hence the name The Spirit of Bomber.
And the name of the Black Bee drone is a reference to the Sikorsky H-34 King Bee helicopter. By the way, the drone was created not only to popularize the brand and the new logo.
Soon, it will equip the new Dartz Alligator MMXX – the drone will take off directly from its roof. Leonard Yankelovich announced the imminent debut of the new model.
Also, in 2021, an electric car is expected to be presented under a separate brand, Freze. According to the owner of Dartz, the presentation should take place by Catholic Christmas. Let us remind you, Leonard Yankelovich is among the few people who like to play big and are not accustomed to half-measures.
