Extreme Supercar with a Built-in Vacuum Cleaner for $4.3 Million

The creator of the legendary McLaren F1, Gordon Murray, has unveiled his new creation – the Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda. This is an extreme track version of the standard T.50 coupe, and only 25 of these cars will be produced at $4.3 million each. It is easy to guess that it is dedicated to the three-time Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda.

For the T.50s, the power of the 3.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 was increased from 654 to 711 horsepower, and thanks to dynamic boosting, 725 horsepower is temporarily available. The engine revs up to 12,100 rpm. A new 6-speed automated manual works alongside it. The maximum speed is 338 km/h.

Of course, some supercars with this price tag are twice as powerful. But none of them weigh 852 kg. At the same time, the downforce reaches an impressive 1500 kg.

This is ensured by a new aerodynamic package with a keel, body kit, and a huge rear wing. Additionally, the Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda literally sticks to the road due to ground effect technology. A large fan at the back works like a vacuum cleaner, sucking air from under the floor and creating a low-pressure area.

The track version has a widened track and reduced ground clearance, and the active suspension has been refined. It is slowed down by ceramic brakes.

Like in the McLaren F1, in the Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda, the driver sits in the center. However, the car is not a three-seater like the F1 and T.50 since one of the seats was removed to accommodate a fire extinguisher. The interior is finished in carbon fiber, and the steering wheel and switches are clearly borrowed from racing cars.
