Electric car with scissor doors, forged carbon, and vibrant design

Updated Xpeng P7: Design and Power

The Chinese electric vehicle market continues to surprise with innovations. The updated Xpeng P7, recently appearing in official documents, is already undergoing road tests in vibrant wraps. The manufacturer has significantly altered the model’s design, adding elements inspired by premium cars.

One prototype was spotted in a mirror-chrome finish covering not only the body but also the wheels. Another model received a matte purple wrap and aerodynamic rims. While such variants are unlikely to enter mass production, they demonstrate the brand’s creative approach.

Technical Features

Key updates include scissor doors, traditionally associated with Lamborghini. Decorative elements with a carbon pattern are also available, enhancing the model’s sporty appearance. Experts say the base versions will feature a 363-horsepower motor, while the top-tier dual-motor configuration will deliver 586 hp.

The updated P7 will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 20. The manufacturer plans to launch sales by the end of 2025, competing with hits like the Xiaomi SU7. Notably, Xpeng traditionally offers unconventional color options—for example, the previous “Wing Edition” was available in a bright green shade.
