The Tesla Model S electric car was involved in a serious accident in Kharkiv. After the collision, the car caught fire and had to be extinguished, reports h_saltovka.
On Heroiv Pratsi Street, a Skoda Fabia collided with the side of the Tesla Model S. No one was injured in the accident, but the electric car quickly began to smoke. It appears that the Tesla’s battery was damaged.
The owner attempted to extinguish the electric car with a fire extinguisher. The accident also blocked tram traffic, as the Tesla electric car ended up on the tracks.
It is still unclear what caused the fire.
On the one hand, even brand-new electric cars have often caught fire after an accident. On the other hand, most Teslas in Ukraine are salvaged vehicles from the USA, and the fate of a significant number remains a mystery shrouded in secrecy. Moreover, not all of them have been professionally restored.
