New Electric BMW M3: What is Known
BMW is preparing to present an electric version of the legendary M3, which will become part of the new Neue Klasse lineup. The car will receive an updated design, different from current models, with strict lines and integrated LED headlights. The front part attracts particular attention — the large radiator grilles, which were often criticized, are expected to change to more refined ones.
According to preliminary data, the electric M3 (possibly under the name iM3) will receive four electric motors with a total power of over 700 hp. This will make it the most powerful version of the M3 in history. At the same time, BMW plans to continue producing the traditional version with an inline six-cylinder engine in parallel with the electric one.
Design and Technical Features
Prototypes are already undergoing testing, and based on observations, conclusions can be drawn about the appearance of the novelty. The car will have:
The rear will feature compact lights and a sporty bumper with a diffuser, adding aggressiveness. Although exact specifications have not yet been disclosed, insiders report that BMW engineers will limit the power to a level that keeps the car manageable on regular roads.
Despite the fact that electric versions are usually associated with calm driving, BMW emphasizes that the iM3 will retain its sporting character. The company aims to prove that electric cars can be not only ecological but also emotional. Final details will become known closer to the official premiere, but it is already clear that the new model will be an important step in the development of the brand.
