The history of Renault Logan began in 2005 with the first car coming off the assembly line. The updated version was released in 2009. The car belongs to class B. The manufacturer used the same platform for its Renault Modus, Nissan Micra, and latest version Renault Clio models.
First Generation Logan: The Beginning
The sedan in its first version became a favorite car for taxi drivers. It combined an affordable configuration with reliable elements. In other words, the car was inexpensive but excellently performed its main functions. Today, you can buy a Renault Logan from both generations. The main advantage in the first was the suspension combined with a manual transmission.
However, on the contrary, the interior is inconvenient. It lacks soundproofing and vibration isolation. As a result, the ride cannot be comfortable a priori.
Logan in the Updated Version: Features
Modernization and restyling really changed the car’s condition significantly. Thus, a new bumper was added to the exterior, optics and the rear spoiler were changed. Inside, the designers changed the instrument panel, added steering wheel adjustment, and improved the headrests. All external parameters have certainly changed for the better, ensuring comfort for passengers and the driver. Thus, the second generation acquired the appearance of a completely modern car in 2014.
The following details in the car changed:
- optics and body part;
- geometry of doors and internal elements;
- door seals for better vibration;
- masking of towing loops;
- new bumper and overlays.
Although compared to the first generation, there was no such hype around the second generation—by this time, many competitors had already appeared on the market. The main advantage remained the combination of affordability and good technical characteristics. Developers also worked on new engine protection and added a more powerful generator.
The interior is quite spacious. And although the rear bench is traditionally designed for three people, two fairly large adults can feel comfortable there. Models of both generations can be found on the OLX service.
