Flagship Lexus LX Receives Additional Sporty Elements in the 2026 Model Year Version

Updates for the 2026 Model Year Lexus LX

Lexus has introduced the updated LX off-roader for the 2026 model year. The model received a number of minor changes, and its starting price has increased by $500 and now stands at $107,950.

Styling Updates and New Option Package

Since major updates, such as the new hybrid powertrain and the Overtrail off-road package, appeared last year, the changes for 2026 are quite moderate. However, a new F Sport Appearance Package is now available for the LX 700h F Sport Handling version.

F Sport², so to speak, develops the two-tone aesthetic as it includes additional body-colored accents on the rocker panels and bumpers.

These are contrasted by black mirrors and a rear spoiler with black wings. The only other change is an updated color palette, which now includes Manganese Luster as an option for the Overtrail trim.

Powertrain Specifications

Under the hood of the LX 600 is the familiar twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine, producing 409 horsepower and 649 Nm of torque. It is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.

Customers can also choose the LX 700h, which is equipped with a hybrid powertrain. It consists of a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine, a nickel-metal hydride battery, and a ten-speed automatic transmission with an integrated electric motor. This increases power to 457 horsepower and torque to 790 Nm. Thanks to the additional power, the 0-60 mph acceleration time is reduced from 6.9 to 6.4 seconds.

Fuel Economy

However, customers expecting significant fuel savings will be disappointed. The city cycle increases from 17 mpg to 19 mpg, while the highway figure remains unchanged at 22 mpg. Similarly, the combined fuel economy rating increases by only one point to 20 mpg.

Pricing for the 2026 Lexus LX Models

Model | MSRP
LX 600 Premium | $107,950
LX 600 F SPORT Handling | $114,950
LX 600 Luxury | $116,950
LX 700h Overtrail | $116,685
LX 700h F SPORT Handling | $118,950
LX 700h Luxury | $120,950
LX 700h Ultra Luxury | $142,450

Prices include a $1,450 destination fee.

The slight price increase for 2026 likely reflects general inflation trends and production costs in the automotive industry. The LX offering remains clearly focused on luxury and capability, with an emphasis on power and features rather than radical efficiency. The introduction of the new F Sport Appearance Package indicates that the manufacturer continues to bet on personalization to attract buyers seeking a unique style in the luxury SUV segment.
