Kyiv became the first city in Ukraine where automated photo enforcement of traffic violations was launched. Cameras are already operating in the capital, although so far only in test mode. In total, 20 cameras for photo and video recording of speeding offenses have been activated in Kyiv, reports Censor. The National Police decided not to keep their locations secret and immediately published the addresses:

Naturally, the automatic violation fixation system includes not only cameras but also data processing stations.

Violation data will be automatically transmitted to an institution where the resolution will be printed and sent to the recipient. Drivers will be able to check fine information on the Ministry of Internal Affairs website, in their electronic cabinet, and through the “Diia” app. By May 1, another 30 photo and video recording cameras will be installed in the Kyiv region. In total, about a thousand are planned to be installed across Ukraine.
