The Bugatti Chiron convertible is not ready yet and it is unlikely to be presented before 2019. Meanwhile, an original alternative has been offered to customers – the Sky View panoramic roof.
It might seem like there’s nothing special about it. Such an option is now offered even for some B-class hatchbacks. However, Bugatti wouldn’t be themselves if they didn’t stand out here as well.
The Bugatti Chiron’s panoramic roof consists of two sections measuring 65 by 44 cm. They are separated in the center by Bugatti’s signature “crest” (the car’s design doesn’t allow it to be done otherwise). The roof panels themselves are made of four layers of ultra-light glass.
Interesting that the new option added an additional 27 mm of space above the head. The glass also reflects ultraviolet rays and prevents the cabin from heating up, as sunshades are not provided in a Bugatti.
By the way, this is not the first original option for the Bugatti Chiron. Previously, customers were offered a carbon wiper. The price of the panoramic roof is not disclosed.
