by Automotive craftsmen usually dream of faster, wider, lower, or more powerful cars. Andrea Marazzi went a completely different route. Instead of stretching a Fiat Panda into something incredible, he compressed it to a width barely wider than the person behind the wheel.
Incredible narrowing
The result is an original first-generation Fiat Panda with a width of just 500 mm. While it might look like the product of questionable Photoshop skills, this tiny car is completely real and can even move on its own, despite being so narrow that it has room for only one headlight.
Handcrafted over a year
Marazzi, an Italian craftsman and content creator, spent about a year bringing the project to life. Reports indicate he assembled the car mostly by hand, using a donor Panda from 1993. The goal was not just to create a static exhibit, but a fully functional vehicle that would retain as much of the original car’s character as possible.

A significant portion of the donor car, originally 1460 mm wide, remained unchanged. When viewed in profile, the car can be mistaken for a regular Panda. The roof, doors, wheels, and many other components were integrated into the final design. The biggest challenge was fitting everything into a compact body narrow enough for only a single passenger seated in the center.
Electric transformation
The original gasoline engine, of course, did not fit. Instead, the ultra-thin Panda received a compact electric powertrain powered by two 12-volt batteries. In terms of performance, it cannot compete with supercars: the top speed is about 15 km/h, making it more suitable for slow demonstrations than for setting track records. This Panda is not approved for public roads, and given its low speed and likely tendency to tip over, it is better kept away from other traffic.
Big brother
The unusual Panda made its public debut last year at the Panda in Pandino event, dedicated to the beloved Italian city car. Unsurprisingly, it drew the attention of visitors, who had likely never seen a car with such crazy proportions.

Marazzi, whose other projects include a Big Foot-style monster truck based on a Panda that can crush other cars, is seeking recognition as the creator of the world’s narrowest car, according to a Design Boom report from last year. It is hard to imagine anyone building something thinner, or what the master’s next project might be, even stranger.
This project vividly demonstrates how far the creative thinking of enthusiasts can go when they abandon traditional notions of an automobile. Instead of adding power or aggressive design, Marazzi chose the path of minimalism and humor, creating not just a car, but a true art object that brings a smile. And while the practical value of such a machine is questionable, it once again reminds us that the world of car tuning has no limits, and even an ordinary Panda can become the star of an exhibition if approached with imagination.
