Jeep Continues to Bet on Hemi Engines and Prepares New Models with V8

Jeep Continues Work on Powerful V8 Engines

In 2024, Jeep introduced the Wrangler 392 Final Edition, which was supposed to be the last model with the Hemi V8 engine. However, due to high demand, the company changed its plans. Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf confirmed that the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine will remain in the lineup.

Powertrains are the “heart and soul” of vehicles

This engine produces 470 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque, allowing the Wrangler to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. In addition, Jeep is preparing new models with V8 engines, which could mean the return of powerful versions like the Grand Cherokee SRT8.

Updates for Wrangler and Gladiator

The company also plans to expand customization options for the Wrangler and Gladiator. Future updates will include larger wheel sizes and additional options for colored elements, such as fenders. This will allow Jeep to further meet the demand for individual customization.

At the same time, Jeep is actively working on electrified versions of its models. Hybrid variants of the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe have already been introduced, and a plug-in hybrid Gladiator is expected in the future. These steps show that the company is trying to balance between powerful traditional engines and modern environmental solutions.
