High-Quality Car Wash – Why It’s Important to Wash Your Car Properly en

Many motorists do not even suspect the consequences of improper car washing. Especially on a regular basis. Therefore, we decided to correct this by telling in more detail what a high-quality car wash means and why it is important.

Our friends from www.car-care.com.ua will help us with this. Let’s start with the types of washes: self-service, automatic, and manual.

The latter can be divided into “proper” and “improper” – we will explain everything below. Self-service – here, in principle, everything is clear. Quick, inexpensive, and done by yourself. Safe? – Possibly.

Quality – unlikely. It may be better than most washes in Kyiv, but again, you need to understand that not everyone has time for this.

Portal or automatic washes – quick and inexpensive. Undoubtedly there is no talk of quality. The consequences of such washes are usually visible to the naked eye: scratches on the paintwork, burnt chrome, plastic, and rubber elements of the car’s exterior.

And overall, the car’s appearance, if it regularly visits such washes, will be sad. Manual washes come in two types – quality (e.g., three-phase washing) and barbaric (contactless). Let’s consider both, how they differ and why it’s better not to use contactless washing. What is contactless washing? A highly alkaline composition is applied to the body, washed off in 5 minutes, and the car is wiped with cloths.

Or rather, not wiped, but static dirt is rubbed on the body, which cannot be washed off with just water. Because of this, small scratches appear on the paint (sometimes called cobwebs). External decorative elements also suffer due to the high pH of such chemical compositions.

How to wash the car properly? A basic proper wash is two-phase.

It is done as follows: the first stage involves applying a pre-wash composition to the entire car and washing off the main dirt with a large amount of water under pressure. Then a manual shampoo is applied, and the entire body, wheels, fenders are washed using a coarse sponge, brushes, and brooms. It is rinsed again with plenty of water. As a result, we have a safely and thoroughly cleaned car without scratches. As a third phase, various compositions (drying reagents, polymers) can be applied, which will give the body a slight water-repelling effect and some shine.

Therefore, if you want your car always to look like new and remain that way as long as possible – it is better not to save and to use the services of professionals who do not try to wash as many cars as possible in a day but are ready to conduct a comprehensive range of procedures without time constraints. In this case, the concepts of “quick” and “quality” are completely incompatible. If you want to see and try what a quality car wash is – you should go to Glyanets Auto Studio.
