How Elon Musk Bought His First Supercar at 28 (video) en

Surely you’ve heard that Elon Musk, as of early 2021, became the richest person in the world. Today, his fortune is estimated at more than $200 billion. The founder of Tesla and SpaceX will turn 50 this year, but even at 28, he could afford the fastest and most expensive production car.

In 1999, Musk decided to spend his first million, which he spent on a McLaren F1. At that time, he paid an incredible (for those times, and even today it’s quite a lot, to say the least) $815,000 for the iconic 90s supercar.

However, the next year Musk crashed his McLaren F1, one of 64 units intended for public roads.
