In Ukraine, the coronavirus epidemic has not yet been declared, but the precautionary measures are quite strict. They are even planning to close the metro, although in Prague, Warsaw, and even Milan (where there are hundreds of sick people), it is operating.
We understand that in this situation, taxi drivers will get rich, and those who have their own cars will benefit. Like it or not, sometimes you have to travel – for shopping, to take relatives on errands, and for some – to work. Of course, the car limits unwanted contacts, but it does not provide 100% protection.
Here are some tips on how to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection when traveling in a car. Most importantly, wash and disinfect your hands more often, as the virus can live up to seven days on the steering wheel or door handles.
In general, it is advisable to keep a bottle of disinfectant (with 60% alcohol content) or wet wipes in the car. It is better to take the fuel dispenser at the gas station with gloves or a napkin. The interior should also be wiped with antiseptic.
Like rooms, the car should be ventilated from time to time.
It should be remembered: protective masks should be worn primarily by the sick – so as not to infect others. Of course, in this case, it is best not to leave the house at all, but if it is very, very necessary, you should appear in a taxi or public places only wearing a mask.
