How to Repair Deep Scratches on a Car Without Painting

What to do if a dog scratched the car or a ‘kind’ neighbor left nail marks? Today, there are many products on the market for removing scratches on a car body. The issue is that many of them are useless or require certain knowledge and skills. In a specific example, we decided to show whether scratches can be removed without painting the parts.

It is about a car whose body was scratched by a German Shepherd. Two doors, the hood, and partially the fender and pillars were affected.

As seen in the photos, she did it ‘with gusto’…

Initially, the car owner was going to repaint the damaged parts. Many repair shops push for such measures, convincing that there is no other way. However, in this case, it was possible to avoid the expensive repair – NANO Detailing employees promised to fix the situation without repainting, saving several hundred dollars.

The first step was restorative polishing – it helped to remove visible scratches and signs of use (spider webs, chips). After that, a 2-component sealant was applied to the body, providing shine, protection, and water-repellent effect for 3 months.

It took 2 days to carry out the ‘rescue’ detailing works, but it was worth it – a car with a mileage of 100 thousand km got the look of a new one. Even with the naked eye, you can see that there is shine and color depth, and there is no trace of scratches and ‘spider webs’.

As for the sealant used at the final processing stage, it not only reduces the number of washes (water and dirt slide off the body like drops from windows treated with anti-rain) but also provides paint protection.

At the Nanoprotec service center in Kyiv, scratch removal followed by body treatment with protective compositions cost XXX UAH. It should be noted that NANO Detailing specialists offer a whole range of services for ‘any pocket’ and, depending on the desired result. Some want to simply improve the car’s appearance, while others need long-term paint protection (for example, after purchasing a new car). More details – on the NANO Detailing website
