If you play indoor football, you need to choose special footwear. Its sole should provide good grip and maneuverability. There are several options for footwear. One popular option is futsal shoes, which have no spikes on the sole. The grip with the surface is provided by special rubber properties. The properties of this footwear: foot protection from dislocation or other injuries; wear resistance of materials and durability; reduction of leg load by absorbing vibrations. However, futsal shoes are quite limited in use. They are suitable only for parquet floors in sports halls. On other surfaces, they can slip and hinder the athlete. Another footwear option is turf shoes. The sole here is also rubber but not smooth, with special studs. They are small and evenly distributed over the entire surface. Features of turf shoes: the foot is fixed but not too rigidly; due to their universality, newcomers use them frequently; good wear resistance; elasticity and cushioning. Turf shoes are more versatile in use. You can wear them when playing in sports halls, on the ground, or on artificial turf. They do not affect the maneuvers and speed of the footballer. You can purchase special footwear for mini-football at a sports store, on online platforms, or on the OLX service. But before buying, you need to determine the type of footwear, the manufacturer, and choose the right size. Futsal shoes are initially lightweight with good floor grip and foot fixation. When choosing from specialized models, consider their characteristics. Here two options are used: rubber and polyurethane. Rubber is less elastic but gives optimal grip. Polyurethane, on the other hand, absorbs impulses better and is resistant to wear and tear. As for the upper part of the footwear, two markings are used: IC (Indoor) – materials are strong and rigid, wear-resistant, and similar to street boots; FS (Futsal) – thin and light, do not fix the leg so rigidly. Beginners are advised to start with FS models. Here the outsole is not too stiff, making the boots more comfortable. It is essential that there is a 0.5 cm margin in the boots. This is necessary for situations when the foot swells under heavy loads. Also, orient yourself on socks – they add volume to the foot in futsal shoes. To ensure that the laces do not fail at the most crucial moment of the match, some tricks are used. Lacing options: mesh or twisted – the laces go crisscross and intertwine with each other; straight – the laces do not intertwine but run parallel. Do not forget about a full set of equipment when you plan to change your look. For example, undershirts will be useful both in training and in amateur matches, and in professional games. They provide good ventilation and do not restrict movements. Futsal shoes are specific footwear that should not restrict the athlete’s maneuvers. Choose a model based on your own preferences and the conditions in which you play. If training takes place exclusively in the hall, futsal shoes will be suitable. And if you need versatile footwear, choose turf shoes.
